Program Description:

Terrence J. and Carol W. Miller Scholarship

The Terrence J. and Carol W. Miller Scholarship will be available to female students at the University of Dayton who are pursuing a major within the School of Business Administration (SBA).  This scholarship has been established to assist students with the education costs of an educational experience abroad. Terry Miller earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Dayton in 1981. He has volunteered as a Reunion Committee member and is currently a member of the Business Advisory Council at UD. He and his wife Carol have been generous supporters of the University of Dayton.
 
Criteria for Selection:
  • Be a full-time female student at the University of Dayton.
  • Be pursuing a major within the School of Business Administration.
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in good disciplinary standing with the university.
  • Have an active application open in Studio Abroad, with the China Institute or the School for Business Administration for a specific program.
  • Propose funding to be used toward support of an education abroad program.  Preference will be given to students participating on a UD education abroad program.
  • Applications are for individual students and will not apply toward a group fund-raising effort.
  • All other grants and aid toward the international experience will be taken into consideration when making awards.
  • Students who receive tuition remission are ineligible for this scholarship.
  • There is a maximum of one award per student.  Award recipients are ineligible to apply for the Miller Scholarship for subsequent programs.
  • Priority will be given to students who demonstrate financial need
