Universidad de los Andes

About the Program

“UANDES”, founded in 1989, is a young and dynamic private university located at the foot of the majestic Andes mountain range.  The main campus was intentionally designed to foster co-existence and interdisciplinary dialogue amongst its students in a very modern fashion.  Known particularly for its Health Sciences and Engineering curricula as well as experiential learning opportunities within the community, students may take courses in either English or Spanish, depending upon the subject.  With approximately 8,000 students, an active sports and social scene, and only a short train ride away from the capital city of Santiago, UANDES provides an excellent environment comparable to UD, but uniquely Chilean.

Academics

Academic offerings (in English): Business and Economics, Communication, Engineering and Applied Sciences

Academic offerings (in Spanish): Business Administration, Engineering and Applied Sciences, Education, Health Sciences, Humanities

Eligibility

Students must be in good academic and disciplinary standing - both at the time their application is being processed and at time of departure.

 Pre-departure Orientation

Students will be required to participate in a pre-departure orientation in the semester prior to their program.
Pre-departure is MANDATORY for all accepted participants.
Dates and times will be announced within your application as they are scheduled.

Cost and Refund Policy

Students will be responsible for UD Tuition (billed by UD), as well as the room, board, and travel costs associated with this program (arranged independently).  Most financial aid will apply to the semester budget for each student.

Additional Information and things to consider
