Program Description:

Tobias International Leadership Scholar Program

The Tobias International Leadership Scholars Program is available to students who wish to study, work, or serve on high impact global and intercultural experiences in other countries, in the US or virtually. The Tobias Program seeks to empower the next generation of leaders by providing experiences, mentorship and networks they will need to thrive in the 21st century.  Preference is given to students from the state of Indiana pursuing international programs, as well as any student with financial need. 

Scholarship award:  $500 - $5,000
 

Eligibility

Students who are eligible for this scholarship will be automatically considered if they agree to this in their program application. There is no application for this scholarship.
  • Be in good academic and good disciplinary standing with the university.
  • Have an application open in Studio Abroad for a specific program that has been reviewed by the Center for International Programs
  • Have completed 30 semester hours of credit toward their degree.  A student with fewer than 30 semester credit hours may apply for funding if they demonstrate that an early experience best fits the academic plan and/or course of study.
  • Plan to use scholarship funds on a University of Dayton, non-University of Dayton, or independent international or intercultural program.

Considerations

  • Students who receive tuition remission are only eligible to receive funding to cover expenses above and beyond tuition.
  • There is a maximum of one award per student.
  • Priority will be given to:
    • Indiana residents
    • Students pursuing programs that take place abroad
    • Students who demonstrate financial need
