This program is amazing. I am so happy that I had the opportunity to study abroad after completing my first-year at UD. I thought the classes were challenging at times but the professors adapted them so your time outside of class was not consumed by studying. The experience abroad is a class in itself I learned so much about myself, my classmates, and about my host country. I loved my experience in Rome and the other cities that I visited on the weekends. I will never forget the trips that I took or the sites that I saw on my way to dinner. The location was amazing! I would recommend this program to a future student because it is an once in a life time experience. It is fun, but you are also getting class credit that is applied to your major or minor. You also get to know other people who make up the UD community. I really loved it because the group that I went with created our own community in Rome and we traveled and conquered Italy together.

It is an experience of a life time. Not only do you get to see a different culture's way of life but you get to experience it. Being a business major made it very interesting to see how businesses are run over seas and how we do business with other countries.

I would absolutely recommend this program to everyone; it is a wonderful all-around experience that every student could take value from. UD Study Abroad has helped me get to know myself, and grow to be an independent, well-rounded individual.

I had an amazing experience with this program. The most rewarding thing in my opinion was meeting so many different people that you get to spend the rest of your time at UD with. The most challenging was balancing schoolwork and all the fun things that you want to get done. The most memorable things were just seeing all the most famous monuments that you never though you would be able to.

I think students should try to expand their cultural awareness as much as possible. I tried to make a point to talk to someone new every time we went out and ended up meeting some great people form Germany, Australia, the Netherlands, and other countries because I branched out and talked to them.

I would encourage every single college student to experience studying abroad. It's truly an amazing experience and not only did I learn a lot academically, but I learned a lot about myself as well.

I would definitely recommend it. It's a great experience to learn new things about the culture and about the people you travel with. The classes are not too overbearing and there is plenty of time to do your own thing. I would recommend it because Rome is the greatest city in the world.

Studying abroad in Rome was an invaluable, once in a lifetime experience! I loved being a tourist and seeing the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, the Vatican, and the Panthenon. I enjoyed immersing myself into the Roman culture, traveling throughout Italy, visiting Paris, and meeting new friends.

Future students should know that the time spend in the foreign country of their choice goes by fast so they should make the most of it from day one. I would definitely recommend studying abroad.

Justin S Abbarno, Summer 2015 Participant
Experiencing a culture vastly different than ours in the States and immersing myself in the culture helped to give a new perspective on the world and going through this with great people led to amazing life-long friendships.

Don't be scared and hang out with people you know. It's good to branch out and try new things.

The cultural experience itself is reward enough. However, you also get the opportunity to meet many new people that go to UD and make new friends!

Cultural experience is something you need to see for yourself. No words can describe the feeling.

Makaela Marie Douglas, Summer 2015 Participant
I never thought this program would change my perspective on cultures, but it did. I can't wait to travel the world to experience other cultures.

There is actual school work involved when you study abroad, and it takes time, but it doesn't stop you from experiencing the country, you just have to put in the time and effort. I would recommend any program going to any country.

I felt this program was completely worth the money and time away from home. I was able to get 7 credit hours out of the way, and got super close with a ton of new people. I highly recommend this trip

Studying abroad in Rome was an amazing experience. If you are thinking about studying abroad, I strongly encourage doing so. Being able to experience the food and culture of Italy for five weeks was unforgettable. It was also great meeting so many UD business students.

Best experience I have had during my college years by far! If you have the opportunity, you won't regret going abroad.

Dear Future Students, after an amazing summer in Rome, I would like to give you some advice. First, don't be afraid to be open-minded and outgoing. I knew absolutely nobody going into the trip but quickly made many friends and experienced a culture that is accepting and outgoing. Classes are very rigorous for a 5 week program because they contain a lot of hours in a short amount of time. Organization is key along with time management. Don't be afraid to explore. The world is yours in Italy so try and live a little. This is a once in a lifetime experience, make the most of it.

Summer 2015 Participant
It was the most unforgettable experience I've ever had. If I could do it 100x over again, I would.

Nicolette Ann Westberg, Summer 2015 Participant
I strongly encourage taking a language there. It helps you feel more comfortable in the environment and makes you adapt more to the culture. I really enjoyed my experience and I wish I could go back.

Sara R Crotty, Summer 2016 Participant
This program tests your independence and challenges you to become a well-rounded individual. During the week, you learn how to manage your time with classes while still seeing beautiful sites in Rome. The weekends are wonderful since you are free to explore other cities. Throughout the trip, you have experiences that help you grow as a person which is incredibly rewarding. Choosing to spend five weeks in Italy for this study abroad program was easily the best decision I've ever made.

Mattea Kilstofte, Summer 2017 Participant
This program was incredible! It is an invaluable experience to be immersed into Italian culture with other UD students and faculty. I would definitely recommend this program to everyone, if you have the opportunity to go it is a must!
