It is a great program to participate in. You will grow your mind more so when you are outside the classroom.

It's just an amazing time. The whole thing is a lot of fun and you make a lot of great friends.

Most fun experiences you will ever have in your life. Everyone should study abroad at least once during their four years at UD. Great people and great fun.

This program allowed me to figure out my strengths and weaknesses as a person - to challenge myself - something I didn't think would happen on the trip. I learned a lot about myself, made lifelong friendships, and got to experience cultures different than my own. It was life changing and I will cherish the memories forever!

Summer 2013 Participant
It's the best time of your life. This is an experience that I will never forget and always cherish for my years to come.

This is definitely a *study* abroad trip. It was a challenge to do all the work for the courses, while at the same time manage time efficiently to have time for trips and going to see the cities. At the same point, the challenge really teaches you how to work in different environments, how to manage time well, how to adapt to new cultures, how to be self-reliant, how to be resourceful, and how to have fun. You will learn a lot about yourself, other cultures, and the United States while over there. I can honestly say that I learned more about the USA by leaving than in any other way.

The experiences, memories, and lessons are invaluable. I would recommend this trip to anyone.

This trip was amazing. You make countless new friends, and traveling from London to Dublin was one of the most memorable weeks of my life. It truly shows you a lot about yourself, how to be adaptable and allow yourself to learn new cultures. Overall, was one of the best experiences of my life thus far.

Challenging: 5 week class while trying to explore the countries.
Rewarding: Getting close to the people on the trip, going to new places, experiencing something completely new and exciting

Summer 2013 Participant
Being fully immersed within another world for five weeks continues to be one of my most rewarding life experiences. I have gained life long friendships, which enhanced the trip greatly.

Spending time with new people was the most rewarding. Be smart about budgeting your money, as it can go fast with the exchange rates. Study hard and you'll do well in the classes as well as have time outside to explore the sites you visit

Kathryn Bauman, Summer 2014 Participant
I would definitely recommend studying abroad to everyone. It is such a great opportunity to see the world and meet new people. I made so many great friends and memories and I can't imagine not getting to experience any of it.

the best trip ever

The study abroad trip to London and Dublin was the coolest, most eye-opening, most amazing experience of my life! I remember walking in the rain on the coast of Wales with a wetsuit on and surfboard under my arm and couldn't believe what I was actually doing. I was brought out of my comfort zone and forced to find my way in a foreign country, without wifi, the majority of the time, or GoogleMaps. One of the hardest things about being abroad was the money conversion. 20 pounds was more like 40 American dollars and it went by very quickly. The European culture amazes me and I am so glad I was exposed to so many different kind of people. From London fashion, to Wales kindness, to Ireland's live music, I fell in love with Europe and will most defintitely be visiting again.

I will never forget the fantastic experience that followed my freshman year at UD as I studied abroad in London and Dublin. The cities were marvelous and historically rich. Our locations were relatively luxurious with close proximity to must see sites and spectacles. I would recommend all my friends study abroad through UD after this experience, and I wish I could go back and do it all again!

It is important to do as much as you can in each of the locations. The most rewarding part of the experience was being able to see as much and experience as much of the cities I could. I would recommend this program. You get to travel a lot, meet great people, and also get credit for classes.

Don't be afraid to get out there and do things on your own (safely, of course). You may never be back to some of these amazing places again or at least not anytime soon and you don't want to have regrets on a trip like this. Be prepared to do some of your own research on places to go, things to do, and where to eat. Make sure to keep in touch with family and friends at home.

Eric Albert Taglieri, Summer 2014 Participant
The most rewarding part of studying abroad is being able to meet new people and experience a new environment with Dayton students and faculty. Being immersed in a new culture can be daunting, but it is worth it being able to do it with a group of people together

Five weeks were not a long time to experience a whole country. This program will lead you to open the door of the world. The thing left that you have to do is to see the world yourself.

Summer 2015 Participant
Future students should know that they will have the best time of their life travel and studying abroad. I would recommend traveling the country as much as you can and not just hanging out in the apartments

Summer 2015 Participant
I loved every minute of it

Morgan Elizabeth Landy, Summer 2015 Participant
Studying abroad was the best five weeks of my entire life. Throughout my travels I was submerged in culture and met lifelong friends. I would recommend that every student experiences studying abroad.

Mallory Rose Masturzo, Summer 2015 Participant
I would definitely recommend this program to other students. While the classes at times could be challenging, the experiences I had while abroad made this summer the most fun, most rewarding, greatest summer I have ever had.

Sarah Siobhan O'Connor, Summer 2015 Participant
Future students should know that this is a great learning experience and wonderful experience to meet friends and learn about other cultures. I recommend this program to students because it is a trip that is fun and cultural but you also feel comfortable because there is not a language barrier. There are tons of things to do in both places and you get to see two cultures and compare.

Summer 2015 Participant
Be prepared to study a lot. It's worth it though.

It was an amazing opportunity to be able to live in a different country for five weeks. The most challenging things is to fit everything in between site seeing, studying, and socializing with the other people in the program. I will truly remember this experience for the rest of my life.

They should do a some reading before they go because the classes go by fast, usually one or two chapters a day if not more. Stay balanced with the school and going and seeing all of the sites to see. Everything was memorable about this program. The people on my trip are now some of my best friends and I would not have it any other way. I had a great group of people and I liked having that class before we went. Even though I didn't meet very many people from it, it was still very helpful.

Summer 2015 Participant
This was an amazing trip to say the least. I made so many great friends and collected endless memories throughout the trip. It was a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget.

Summer 2016 Participant
You will become best friends with every single person on this trip. You also become very immersed in the culture by talking to locals and going out and adventuring on your own. You learn to be more independent than you could every imagine.

Summer 2016 Participant
I would totally recommend it-- definitely worth your time!

Summer 2017 Participant
This was an amazing experience! I loved every part of this whole trip. The friendships and memories I made during this trip is something I will cherish forever.

Connor A Pattyson, Summer 2017 Participant
I really enjoyed this program. We got to see many cool places throughout Europe and even traveled beyond just London and Dublin. The professors did a great job balancing class work with free time to enjoy the experience, which definitely made things more enjoyable. Interested students should be prepared to work hard and try new things - you want to take the school work seriously and want to be able to grow as an individual! Trying new things allows for that to happen. All in all, I had a very enjoyable experience abroad and met a lot of great people, forming relationships that I know will continue when I get back to campus in Dayton. I definitely recommend this program!

I would highly recommend this trip. You get to experience 3 different countries, each is extremely unique and there is so much to do, see, and learn about.
